Informal Sport

Investigates the contribution of informal sports participation to the wellbeing of people and considers how governments, sport and health agencies can support this participation.

AllPlay Dance

A dance project for children with disability, developed and assessed with a dance studies approach.  Five years ago Bridget and Morgan met as part of All Play Dance, a unique and collaborative research project that increases opportunities for young people with disability to be included in dance.  Bridget, who has cerebral palsy was buddied up with Morgan, an elite ballet dancer.  Participating in the pilot had a lasting legacy on both girls.

Play Agents

Monash Education researcher Mervi Kaukko worked with staff and students from Noble Park Primary School to investigate how play helps support students from refugee and migrant backgrounds.  “The research gives power to educators who have that strong belief that play will support children’s learning.”
