North Melbourne Library mural
The library went through a brillant refurbishment which included these amazing murals by Gundijtmara/Kirrae Wurrong artist Patricia McKean. Patricia says the inspiration behind these murals comes through books and that “In my culture it’s a big thing to storytell” and it’s “Very important to keep culture going”. It was a privilege to meet Patricia, she’s such a talented artist.
Absolutely LOVE your work, Rodney. You totally nailed the brief to feature Trish and her art, the refurb, as well as the importance of North Melbourne Library in the community. Absolutely beautiful editing too. THANK YOU! Shirley Bateman, Resources and Reader Development Coordinator | City of Melbourne Libraries | Creative City
